展示作品：

レリーフやデジタルプリントで制作。　約30点を展示いたします。
「私の作品には必ずどこかに自伝的な部分がある・・・」(John Read　HPテキストより)。”自伝”とは拡大解釈すれば地球の歴史が歩んで来た痕跡とか自他を含む民族の文化とか、これまでの自分が感受してきた全ての体験を含むということだろう。1971年美術大学を卒業後、様々な仕事をしているうちに日本と出会う。特に茶道の精神からは大きな影響を受けて来たという。
制作は、絵画、彫刻、版画、写真など広範囲に及ぶ。

Readさんは創作活動の他に、世界中の版画作家の連携を目指して組織された
“Prism Print International” のキューレーターとしても、英国内外の各地で合同展を企画開催するなど精力的に活動されています。ここには日本の版画家の方々も参加、交流を深めています。
